The University of California Irvine has a long history of graduates with productive careers in many facets of the real estate industry.  In 2007, a motivated group of UCI industry professionals recognized both the need and potential of an alumni-driven real estate organization.  The Center for Real Estate (CRE) at the Paul Merage School of Business, was a natural partner for this effort, and the UCI Real Estate Alumni association (UCIREA) was formed in 2008.  The UCIREA and the CRE partnership has continued a tradition of social service, production of worthwhile informational based events, and sponsorship of valuable connection and networking opportunities.  The UCIREA is now run by a formal leadership committee and is a chartered 501(c)3 organization.
